Why doing business with a CPA

For their experience and knowledge

I have 13 years of experience in accounting in various industries.

Following this, to improve my knowledge, I went to University of Sherbrooke and obtained my bachelor's degree in administration with an option in accounting. I have also completed the exams from the Ordre des CGA as well as two years of training required to obtain the designation CGA. I have also complied to the requirement to obtain the designation of auditor.

I also worked during 13 years in an accounting firm where I refined my knowledge in different type of businesses. I have also acquired experience in business and individual taxation, financial forecasts, notice to reader, review engagement, audit, different forms required by the Federal and Provincial Government.

Furthermore, I gave formation to the trainees.

My customers are in Sutton, Cowansville, Brome Lake, Farnham, Brigham, Waterloo, Dunham, Granby, Bromont and regions. The distance is not an issue since I use modern communication tools.

CPA: Unique designation regrouping all professional accountants

The CPA Order was created in May 2012 following the unification of the accounting profession in Quebec. It results from a merger of the Ordre des comptables agréés (CA), the Ordre des comptables généraux accrédités (CGA) and the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités (CMA).

For a period of 10 years, the members will use the dual designation, CPA with inclusion of their legacy designation as CPA CA, CPA CGA, CPA CMA.

After this period, only the CPA designation will be authorized.

CPA auditor

A CPA with adequate formations can have the accreditation of auditor. An auditor can provide and sign financial statements with different level of certification as ;

  • Review Engagement
  • Audit

A non-auditor CPA can sign financial statements with a "Notice to reader" report.
